WHAT IS OBA ?
The OBA, which stands for Outcomes-Based Assessment, is a skills assessment designed for overseas qualified Registered Nurses who are seeking registration in Australia.
If you are a nurse from outside Australia and meet specific criteria*, you can bypass the process of studying in Australia. By successfully completing the OBA examination and an English language test, you can become a registered nurse in Australia and immigrate through pathways such as skilled migration or employer sponsorship.
Advantages of OBA: To obtain a nursing occupational assessment for registration through studying in Australia, it is typically required to complete a three-year full-time nursing course within Australia. However, by choosing the OBA program, you can benefit from lower costs, increased flexibility, and most importantly, the ability to substitute the need for studying in Australia, saving significant time and financial resources.
*Criteria include holding a valid nursing registration in your home country, a bachelor's degree in nursing with a degree certificate, and a minimum of 450 hours of nursing experience in your home country.
